When we look at how we were educated, we realize that we are supposed to forget ourselves, to put the other before us lest we be judged as selfish.
Have you also noticed that it is often easier for us to give than to receive? Because it makes us a generous person. Thus, there are things that can be done and those that “can’t be done”. The majority of human behaviors are conditioned by moral, cultural and social codes that evolve really slowly and imprint most of our choices.
Until the moment we decide to come back toward the Self, to express our identity. Not in a human point of view anymore but from divine love, by choosing to honor ourself as a being first. From this new attitude, we understand that divine universal laws have nothing to do with human behaviors. They put us back in the right direction, that of respect and Self-love. To know how to honor ourselves up to our divinity (inner love and plenitude) requires to contact and maintain our dignity as well as a high value of our own self, that of our brilliance. And in this awareness, it is natural to expect to receive the best since we are naturally good and bright.
The laws of cosmic energy also inform us that receiving comes before acting. In meditation, or simply in a state of inner receptiveness, we place ourselves in tune with our intuition, our Light Presence. Thus, we connect to our environment to sense that we are part of a Whole. We can feel, though the separation does not exist, to let the energy of Love spread within us and further allow us to express the best of ourselves. We receive before we give, that is the right way! But to receive we must know how to let ourselves go, let go of the shells, the rigidities, the need of control, in order to allow the Divine Love to feed us and to take care of us.
So, do you know to let yourself be loved?
Without conditions, without restriction?
With a peaceful smile that expresses your inner comfort and your feeling of satisfaction?
Do you let the Divine Love (the Life Source) take you in its arms to soothe you, to comfort you?
Make you feel how precious and wonderful you are?
External relationships aren’t Life. It is this eternal Source of Love and Light that we call Divinity. And when you allow It to envelop you, to embrace you, your external relationships change as well. They in turn express this gentleness and recognition of your beauty.
Practice!
Smile, open up, welcome, celebrate your life, the gifts that you receive in you daily life (compliments, affectionate gestures); let yourself be inhabited by your great Inner Presence, its warmth and light and then you will feel rich, fulfilled, simply loved without measure and without limitations, in this Love we call unconditional.
